A New Commandment: Love One Another
Jesus makes his own self-giving love the standard.
Jesus commands a distinct, recognisable love: the community is to love as he loved, making love both ethic and witness.

John 13:34-35
34 A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another, just like I have loved you; that you also love one another.
35 By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."
John 15:12-13
12 "This is my commandment, that you love one another, even as I have loved you.
